近年グローバルヘルスからワンヘルス、地球環境と人間の健康を統合的に考える「プラネタリーヘルス」の概念が世界中で広がった。我が国でも2022年度改訂版の医学・歯学・薬学の教育モデル・コア・カリキュラムにて「環境（気候変動）と健康」が追加されている。看護では、2025年看護教育モデル・コア・カリキュラム改訂版に「地球環境、社会環境と人間の健康の相互関係、すなわちプラネタリーヘルスの観点について理解している」が追加、2027年度より導入される。
本研究の目的は、環境課題の気候変動、生態系の崩壊など多くのプラネタリーヘルスの視点を導入し、看護の専門性を生かし、地球と人々の健康を守るための看護教育への展望を検討することである。
プラネタリーヘルスの基本構造（人間社会活動、環境変化・気候変動、人の健康への影響）に基づき看護師の役割を明確化した。プラネタリーヘルスの視点を導入したプラネタリーヘルス看護教育の展望として、「プラネタリーヘルスにおける看護教育で育成する役割・能力」「プラネタリーヘルス看護教育の教育目標」「プラネタリーヘルス看護教育の3つの柱（1.既存の学習に統合2. 学術的教育の活用3. 地域との連携・協働における教育）」「プラネタリーヘルス看護教育の教育計画」「プラネタリーヘルス看護教育の学習領域区分」「プラネタリーヘルス看護教育における今後の課題」について検討した。
プラネタリーヘルス看護教育を通じて、現世代と未来世代の健康を保障し、持続可能な社会の構築、地球全体の健康に寄与する人材としての役割を果たすことができる人材を育成することは看護職にとって重要であり、プラネタリーヘルス看護教育の導入を大学全体として検討していくことが必要となる。 |

In recent years, the concept of “Planetary Health”—which integrates global health, One Health, and the relationship between the Earth's environment and human health—has spread worldwide. In Japan, the 2022 revised edition of the Model Core Curriculum for Medical, Dental, and Pharmaceutical Education added “Environment (Climate Change) and Health.” In nursing, the 2025 revised Nursing Education Model Core Curriculum added “Understanding the interrelationship between the global environment, social environment, and human health, i.e., the perspective of planetary health,” to be introduced starting in 2027.
The purpose of this study is to introduce multiple planetary health perspectives—such as climate change and ecosystem collapse-into nursing education, leveraging nursing expertise to explore prospects for safeguarding the health of both the planet and its people.
Based on the fundamental structure of planetary health (human social activities, environmental changes/climate change, impacts on human health), the roles of nurses were clarified. As a vision for planetary health nursing education incorporating planetary health perspectives, the following were proposed: “Roles and Competencies to be Developed through Nursing Education in Planetary Health” “Educational Goals for Planetary Health Nursing Education,” “Three Pillars of Planetary Health Nursing Education (1. Integration into Existing Learning 2. Utilization of Academic Education 3. Education through Community Collaboration and Partnerships),” “Educational Planning for Planetary Health Nursing Education,” “Classification of Learning Domains in Planetary Health Nursing Education,” and “Future Challenges in Planetary Health Nursing Education.”
Through planetary health nursing education, it is crucial for the nursing profession to cultivate professionals capable of fulfilling roles that safeguard the health of current and future generations, contribute to building a sustainable society, and promote the health of the entire planet. Therefore, it is necessary for universities to consider introducing planetary health nursing education as a university-wide initiative. |
